Kendamil Goat uses whole goat milk as its base, contains no palm oil, no soy, sources DHA from algae, and adds all five nucleotides found in breast milk. It is not organic certified, but its ingredient profile is cleaner than most organic goat formulas on the market. Here is the full analysis.
Verified from the official Kendamil label. Stage 1, suitable from birth to 6 months.

Scoring methodology: Organic certification and whole milk base are each worth 2 points. All other columns are worth 1 point each. Maximum score is 10. Scores reflect our editorial ingredient criteria only and are not a safety assessment. All formulas meet regulatory standards in their country of sale.
Whole goat milk is the primary ingredient, followed by demineralised goat whey. This is a pure whole milk base with no skimmed milk component. The natural fat is preserved, including MFGM. Because whole milk provides palmitic acid in the correct sn-2 molecular position, no palm oil is needed to complete the fat profile.
Vegetable oils listed as sunflower, coconut, and rapeseed only. No palm oil, no palm olein, no soybean oil. This is one of the cleanest oil blends available in any goat formula. Coconut oil provides medium-chain fatty acids that are easily absorbed by infants. See our seed oils article for the full context.
DHA from Schizochytrium sp. microalgae and ARA from Mortierella alpina oil. Plant-based, no fish contamination risk, and extracted without hexane. This is the same DHA source used in Holle and Lowenzahn. Parents avoiding fish products for dietary or allergy reasons can use Kendamil Goat confidently.
Iron pyrophosphate rather than ferrous sulfate. Ferrous sulfate, used in many formulas including Kabrita and HiPP Dutch Goat, can cause constipation and digestive discomfort in sensitive babies. Iron pyrophosphate is gentler on the gut and better tolerated. Both Kendamil Organic and Kendamil Goat use this gentler iron form.
Kendamil Goat lists L-Tyrosine, L-Phenylalanine, L-Tryptophan, and L-Isoleucine as added amino acids. This is a more complete amino acid addition than most goat formulas. These amino acids support protein synthesis, neurotransmitter production, and overall infant development.
Not EU organic certified. Red Tractor is a UK farm assurance scheme covering quality, safety, and animal welfare. It is meaningful but not equivalent to EU organic. It does not prohibit synthetic pesticides or require organic farming practices. Folic acid rather than methylfolate is present, standard across EU formula regulations.
Most goat milk formulas do not contain nucleotides. Kendamil Goat contains all five nucleotides found naturally in breast milk, explicitly listed on the ingredient label by their full chemical names. This is rare and worth understanding.
Nucleotides are the building blocks of DNA and RNA. Breast milk contains them naturally in every feed. During formula manufacturing, high-heat processing destroys the nucleotides present in fresh milk. Most brands never add them back. Kendamil does.
Cytidine-5'-monophosphate: supports cell membrane and gut barrier development.
Disodium Uridine-5'-monophosphate: supports brain and nervous system development.
Adenosine-5'-monophosphate: supports immune function and energy metabolism.
Disodium Inosine-5'-monophosphate: supports immune system and gut health.
Disodium Guanosine-5'-monophosphate: supports growth of beneficial gut bacteria including Bifidobacterium.
Of all 13 goat milk formulas in our review, very few include nucleotides. Kendamil Goat and Kendamil Organic are among the only ones to include all five. If you are comparing formula labels and cannot find nucleotides listed, the formula does not contain them.
The honest ingredient comparison. All four formulas below score well. The differences are real but nuanced.

The main difference is organic certification. Pure Goat is EU certified organic, meaning stricter controls on pesticides, farming practices, and processing. On the ingredient list itself the two formulas are very similar in quality. If organic certification matters to you, Pure Goat is the better choice. If you are comfortable with non-organic and want the same clean ingredient profile, Kendamil Goat is an excellent alternative.
Holle holds Demeter biodynamic certification, the strictest organic standard globally. Kendamil is not organic. However Kendamil Goat has GOS prebiotics and nucleotides while Holle deliberately keeps its ingredient list minimal and adds neither. If you want organic farming and minimal ingredients, Holle wins. If you want GOS prebiotics and nucleotides alongside a clean fat profile, Kendamil Goat has the edge on those specific criteria.
Jovie is EU organic certified and scores 9/10. Its only deduction is DHA from fish oil rather than algae. Kendamil Goat uses algae DHA but is not organic. For families avoiding fish products entirely, Kendamil Goat is the better choice. For families who prioritise organic certification and are comfortable with fish oil DHA, Jovie edges ahead.
Kendamil Goat scores 8/10 on our ingredient criteria and is the highest-scoring non-organic goat formula in our review of 13 brands. Whole goat milk base, no palm oil, no soy, algae DHA, GOS prebiotics, iron pyrophosphate, a complete amino acid profile, and all five nucleotides found in breast milk. The only deduction is the absence of organic certification.
For parents who prioritise ingredient quality over organic farming standards, Kendamil Goat delivers everything the EU organic formulas offer on the label itself. For parents for whom organic certification is non-negotiable, Pure Goat and Lowenzahn score 10/10 on goat milk specifically.
